Since the hindi cinema is catching up with Hollywood(hahahaha) lets take out some time and see why are we lagging back so much. As we starting now lets take the clock back to may 18th when Ishaqzzade was released directed by Habib Faisal also the screenplay writer for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.
Great promos whatsoever but it did not fail to disappoint when the public actually bought tickets to the movie and saw a great concept went down the drain again. Arjun Kapur as Parma and Parineeti as ZZZ JOYA(as per Parma's pronunciation problems) had great chemistry as the both are outlaws and fell so much in love in a within a timeframe of a song of 4mins .
What was good about it???
1- The twist when Parma walks on Zoya after marrying her.
2- The background score and the songs are awesome.
3- Parineeti's performance and her smile that forces you to keep you on your seats.
What was ILLOGICAL abut the movie??
1- Parma is a sharpshooter maybe better than Abhinav Bindra as he throws the beer bottle behind him and shoots it like it was a child's play.
2-Mr. Arjun Kapur you seriously need some acting lessons before you dive into another project or you will be sent away from the industry for good as your competition is Ranbir kapur, Ranvir Singh, Ayushman, etc.
3-If you would have noticed there is unlimited ammo in the last scene with both parties and they shoot like little school kids with those plastic guns in Diwali. I don't think even our Indian army has such a humungous ammo arsenal.
4-When Parma and Zoya both die in the end she is holding the same piece of the pot that Parma had carved for her earlier. Why I ask, what was the need for that. Even after they died the people hunting them should put a bullet in both of them but instead just walked away. How foolish is that pal!!! what if they both wake up and start dancing on "Chokra Jawan"
5-Also when Parma's mother dies and comes to the funeral and stands with his hands folded like its a Satya Narayan pooja. No tears Nothing and just a few days later sleeping with his so called wife. Mr. Parma a little respect for the dead please!!!

You are completely right,I am in complete agree with you. Bollywood havent yet smelled the Hollywood forget about being like them.

ReplyDeleteBut on a serious note why we have not touched hollywood or evn smelled hollywood..?? that is the biggest question... As still the mass likes all this and dont bother on whether arjun ir acting like sunnydeol or abhinav bindra... All mass wants is entertainment and not logic... Only few people like us wants serious logical movies.. But who cares about us... "Jo Bikta hai, Vo dikhta hai... " Is slogan of bollywood...
All bollywood does is get inspired from hollywood movies, and nowadays even south-indian movies are not spared......but the new breed of filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar banerjee are d new hope for us....lets hope they make some good movies..
